Tele-Therapy

The COVID-19 pandemic significantly transformed how health care professionals deliver services. It’s no longer always necessary to drive to a therapist’s office for a session. Think of the time, money, and effort you can save with teletherapy, conducted through a secure online platform. While teletherapy may not be the best fit for everyone, it’s often the preferred option and can be just as effective as in-person sessions.

Is teletherapy right for you?

If you answer “yes” to these questions, teletherapy may be a good fit for your needs:

  • You have a reliable, newer model smartphone, desktop or laptop computer, or tablet.
  • You are a resident of New Jersey, Arizona or Nevada and will be physically located in the state during your therapy sessions.
  • You have a fixed, private location where you can conduct confidential sessions without interruption. Sessions cannot be held in public spaces or moving vehicles.
  • You have access to high-speed internet.
  • You are able to remain on camera throughout the entire session.
  • You have arranged care for any children or individuals requiring supervision during your session.

When is teletherapy NOT the best approach?

Teletherapy may not be appropriate if you are in crisis, experiencing active suicidal thoughts, or are not yet stable in recovery from substance misuse. In-person sessions and a higher level of care would be more suitable. During our consultation, we will discuss your specific needs to ensure teletherapy is the right option.

Note: If you are seeking services for domestic violence, additional safety measures may be necessary to protect your well-being.
